Pleasanton Unified School District (PUSD) has been named as the best school district in Alameda County by Niche, a national K-12 and college research platform. The district was also ranked fifth in the San Francisco Bay Area, 11th in California, and 54th in the United States. Pleasanton’s Amador Valley High School, which received an A+ rating, was ranked the second-best public high school in Alameda County, while Harvest Park Middle School was recognized as the best public middle school in Alameda County. 93% of PUSD graduates are eligible for 4-year university. In line with private high schools, 35% of applicants attend top-50 colleges. The Interdistrict Transfer (IDT) process is used for students requesting enrollment into PUSD from another district of residence or for a student who resides in the PUSD boundary to request enrollment in a district other than their district of residence.
